The laboratory is physically located at ICAR’s headquarters in Naples. The laboratory is furnished with different equipment for extended reality (virtual, augmented or mixed) and sensors for advanced human-machine interfaces. The research and development activities carried out are mainly focused on the design and testing of intelligent virtual and augmented reality environments and advanced interfaces for human-machine interaction, modeled for specific uses and users. However, no service offered in the catalog by ICAR is currently connected to the activities carried out by the laboratory.

The center is physically located at the Naples headquarters of ICAR and hosts a distributed AI cluster composed of 73 IBM Power System AC922 nodes, of which 25 with 4 NVIDIA Tesla® V100 with 16 GB memory and 48 with 4 NVIDIA Tesla® V 100 with 32 GB Memory. The cluster is already equipped with the most widely used deep learning frameworks to train AI algorithms for different application domains. The research and development activities in the field of AI carried out by ICAR make use of this infrastructure in order to design and prototype next-generation intelligent systems capable of learning and reasoning, performing analysis and information retrieval from heterogeneous information sources, interacting with humans in a natural and personalized way. All the services offered in the catalog by ICAR fall within the AI area, hence the AI infrastructure of the center will certainly be functional to the development of project activities.

The laboratory is physically located at ICAR headquarters in Palermo. It carries out research and development activities focused on the processes of “naturalization” of the interactions between humans and robots, functional to make the interactions between the robots more simple and natural, with specific focus on humanoid robots. The laboratory is equipped with both several humanoid robots (Pepper, Nao) and a mobile Kobuki mobile base. In addition, it is also equipped with low-cost hardware platforms such as Jetson Nano, Raspberry, Arduino, and two 3D printers Creality ender 7 and creality cr 10 smart pro for rapid component prototyping. However, no service offered in the catalog by ICAR is currently connected to the activities carried out by the laboratory.
